Waterjet Cutting of Indiana fabricates customer products to suit using waterjet technology as well as a variety of other traditional manufacturing processes. This page lists the additional capabilities we have in-house.
Waterjets
Our large table machines cut up to 6'x12' sheets, allowing us to efficiently provide industrial parts from standard size plates. The are a number of options available to machine parts larger than our machine tables- just ask!
In addition to waterjet cutting, we provide support services of professional welding, forming, traditional machining, and automated part inspection. Give us a call and see what we can bring to the table for you and your high-demand industrial needs.
6 Axis Waterjet
WCI has brought in-house the 6-axis waterjet capabilities of the Omax A-Jet cutting head. The head is capable of cutting angle ranges from 0° to 60° with a fixed focal point design, where the XYZ axes do not need to move as the head tilts. The system runs on a dedicated machine, and thus no machine downtime is required for WCI to perform 6-axis waterjet work. The service is immediately available for parts needing this specialty setup. Some of the benefits of 6-axis waterjet are:
- Eliminates secondary machining and grinding for fabrication processes
- Ideal for common welding projects
- Easily creates countersinks and weld-ready edges
- Precision angular motion can create unique 3D parts
- Fully automatic taper compensation to minimize taper on finished parts
Other Capabilities
Welding: We have the capability to perform standard MIG and TIG welding operations on materials mild steel, aluminium, and stainless. We can produce custom weldments, boxes, signs, etc. This service can be integrated into any quote we provide.
Forming: Our forming capabilities will vary from job to job. Please feel free to inquire when requesting your quote!
Milling: We have multiple 3-axis CNC machining centers to compliment parts that may require a secondary operation after waterjet cutting.
Turning: Our turning centers can accommodate parts up to 36" diameter. We have CNC capabilities up to 20" diameter.
Wood turning: We have the capability to turn large-diameter wood parts. Specifically we have detailed experience in building refractory molds from hardwoods.
CMM Services: We have a CMM system for calibrated inspection report generation. Any part under 48"x 24" x 18" that we manufacture in our facility, and those provided from an outside source can have an inspection process developed for it.
3D Printer: Ability to print within a 25cm x 21cm x 21cm volume, with up to five materials simultaneously. Please call our Engineering Office for details.
